‘A culture can only continue to exist if we enact and participate in it. Each and everyone of us is responsible for keeping it, but this also means that we have the capacity to dismantle it. We all carry the responsibility to make this world a safer place that celebrates diversity, unity and respect. Together, let’s change this system’.

VANRAE acknowledges the Awabakal people who are the traditional custodians of the land on which we exist today. 

We pay respect to the Awabakal Elders, past and present, and extend this respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People from other communities. We acknowledge the Native Title rights to Country, which holds the stories, traditions and living culture of THE Awabakal People.

Sovereignty has never been ceded. It always was and always will be, Aboriginal land.
